The Orthopedics and Traumatology Department, being one of the extensive branches of medicine, encompasses various specialized fields. ÇANKAYA YAŞAM Hastanesi has structured its orthopedics and traumatology department based on these considerations.

In the department:

Arthroscopy and Sports Injuries (Knee-Shoulder) involve arthroscopic knee surgeries such as meniscectomy or meniscus repair, arthroscopic reconstruction surgeries for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), medial-lateral collateral ligament, and combined ligament injuries, arthroscopic microfracture or osteochondral cartilage transplantation for cartilage injuries, arthroscopic Bankart repair for shoulder dislocation, labral tear excision-repair, cartilage surgeries, rotator cuff repair, and other closed treatments using arthroscopic methods, allowing patients to return to work and sports activities quickly.

Spinal Surgery deals with congenital or acquired lateral curvatures (scoliosis), anterior curvature or kyphosis (hunchback), degenerative problems due to aging of the spine, kyphosis and fractures due to osteoporosis (bone loss), and their treatment with vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty. Additionally, it addresses fractures and dislocations resulting from spinal injuries, infections affecting the spine, tumors involving the spine, and their respective treatments. The department boasts an international team with the highest knowledge and experience, featured in international journals and textbooks, renowned for complex anterior and posterior surgeries, instrumentation, disc prostheses, and various applications.

Pediatric Orthopedics focuses on monitoring and treating congenital hip dislocation, clubfoot, cerebral palsy, myelomeningocele, congenital deformities, flat feet, tumors, developmental disorders, and fractures in children under the age of 16.

Foot and Ankle Surgery specializes in the treatment of degenerative diseases, sports injuries, fractures, ligament ruptures, and cartilage injuries affecting the foot and ankle.

Orthopedic Oncology covers the medical and surgical treatment of all types of tumors affecting the extremities, including bones, muscles, and soft tissues.

Shoulder and Elbow Surgery addresses arthrosis, rotator cuff diseases, recurrent dislocations, and conditions related to overuse or trauma, employing arthroscopic and open surgical methods for treatment.

Arthrosis (gonarthrosis and coxarthrosis) treatment, hip and knee prostheses, revision surgeries for prosthesis infections and loosening, periacetabular and high tibial reconstructive bone surgeries, etc., fall under the scope of this department.

Limb Lengthening Surgeries, correction of bone deformities, and treatment of non-union fractures and bone infections through external fixator applications are performed.

Trauma Treatment involves intensive and emergency care for fractures, dislocations, muscle-tendon tears, and injuries related to multiple complex traumas.
